Job Title: Systemic Family Therapist
Salary: Up to £38,000 – full time equivalent
Contract: Part-time (1 day per week)
Location: Wisbech and home-based (travel required to the home)

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new role within the Keys Group Clinical Team as we open a new children’s home aimed at reunifying families. You will play a key part in supporting children and their birth families on the path to reunification, providing both direct and indirect therapeutic input where needed. There is real potential to develop this role as the service grows.
The post-holder will also consult with and support teams working directly with our children and their families. Working collaboratively with operational and clinical colleagues across Keys Group, you will help embed high-quality therapeutic practices that meet the complex needs of those living within our children’s residential homes. There may be an opportunity to deliver online support, advice and guidance to our Family Assessment Centres.
About You
- Essential: Relevant AFT accredited qualification in systemic family therapy
- Essential: Professional registration with an appropriate regulatory body (UKCP or similar)
- Essential: Full UK Driving Licence required
- Desirable: Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience
- Desirable: Experience working with care-experienced children, their families, and professional networks
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical
- Deliver a range of trauma-informed therapeutic interventions appropriate for children and their families
- Provide specialist therapeutic input and consultation to the care team
- Promote and support therapeutic practice in line with the Keys Connect clinical model
- Contribute to the assessment, formulation, and implementation of therapeutic plans
- Provide guidance to carers, teachers, families, and professionals as appropriate
- Collaborate with the Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist, therapists, and the wider Clinical Team
Teaching, Training, Supervision and Consultation
- Deliver training sessions on therapeutic approaches and related topics to internal and external professionals
- Provide advice and consultation on child trauma, attachment, and recovery, in line with the Keys Connect model and within your professional scope
Policy and Service Development
- Contribute a therapeutic perspective in service development and clinical meetings
- Support the planning and implementation of operational policies through agreed project work
- Advise on therapeutic needs across services and assist with implementing changes
- Maintain effective communication with local authorities, NHS services, and other relevant agencies
Evaluation and Research
- Stay informed on current research to support evidence-based practice and enhance the Keys Connect clinical model
- Assist in coordinating outcome measures and may initiate relevant research, subject to Governance Committee approval
Professional and Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in regular supervision and continuous professional development
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics and relevant professional guidelines
- Comply with Keys Group policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and manage required data collection
- Promote and apply principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in all areas of work
- Actively challenge bullying, harassment, and discrimination
- Be alert to safeguarding concerns and report any incidents promptly
- Travel as necessary to meet role responsibilities

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge through training, conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Attend and contribute to both internal and external team meetings
