Keys Group is a leading provider of therapeutic care and education for children and young people with complex needs. We are seeking a passionate, creative, and proactive Speech and Language Therapist to join our Clinical Team and support pupils at Somerset Progressive School.

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to make a real difference as part of a friendly, professional, and supportive multi-disciplinary team.


The Role

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality assessment, intervention, and consultation services for pupils with complex SEND. Working closely with education and clinical colleagues, you will support communication, interaction, and emotional development across the school community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions

  • Deliver consultation and advice to staff, families, and professionals

  • Contribute to personalised support plans for pupils with complex needs

  • Support pupils with communication, interaction, and language development

  • Use a range of SaLT assessment tools and evidence-based interventions

  • Work collaboratively within the Clinical Team and wider school community

  • Promote positive outcomes for pupils with SEND through trauma-informed practice

  • Maintain accurate records and professional documentation

  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and professional standards at all times


About You

  • HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist (essential)

  • Post-qualification experience working within SEN education

  • Interest in attachment theory and developmental trauma

  • Familiarity with a range of SaLT assessment tools and interventions

  • Passionate advocate for children and young people with SEND

  • Strong communication and collaborative working skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
