Salary: £55,000
Car Allowance: £3,600 P/A
Location: Manchester
Hours: 37.5 (negotiable)
Work pattern: Homebase, with national travel as required
Working as part of Keys Group Clinical Services to provide direct and indirect Occupational Therapy input to adults residing within our learning disability, mental health and acquired brain injury services. The role involves providing both direct and indirect assessment, intervention and consultation to support the provision of high-quality services. This role will focus primarily on ABI services but may be requested to cover other areas as required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and clinical leadership across designated Keys Group services, working autonomously and within the MDT.
- Develop, implement and oversee evidence-based, person-centred and trauma-informed OT treatment plans in line with NICE guidance.
- Offer specialist consultation, training and advice to staff, families and internal/external professionals.
- Contribute an OT perspective to safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance, ensuring safe, effective and well-led care.
- Support service development through participation in meetings, projects, policy development and partnership working with external agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date evidence-based practice through research, outcome measurement and service evaluation activities.
- Engage in supervision, appraisal and continuous professional development, working in accordance with HCPC, RCOT and Keys Group standards.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, collect required data, undertake reasonable travel and complete other duties as agreed.
About you
- Essential: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Essential: Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Essential: Significant experience in a range of Acute in-patient and community mental health and care settings.
- Essential: Experience, typically with adults with complex needs
- Essential: Knowledge of: Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Risk Management, social care workforce, Medication and potential side effects.
- Essential: Full clean driving license and access to my own car.
