Job Title: Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Reports to: National Lead for ABI
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (negotiable)
Location: Home base within 2 hours drive of Manchester with national travel when required
Job Purpose
Working as part of Keys Group Clinical Services to provide direct and indirect Speech and Language Therapy input to adults placed within our learning disability, mental health and acquired brain injury services. The role primarily involves providing direct assessment, intervention and consultation to support the provision of high quality services for people with Acquired Brain Injury, some of whom also have enduring complex physical health needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy input across Keys services within the region.
Assess adults with complex needs and contribute a specialist Speech and Language Therapy perspective.
Develop, implement, and oversee evidence-based treatment and management plans.
Deliver specialist therapeutic interventions appropriate to Keys Group services.
Provide clinical advice, consultation, and guidance to staff, families, and professionals.
Deliver training, supervision, and consultation to multidisciplinary teams.
Contribute to service delivery, development meetings, and agreed project work.
Advise management on Speech and Language Therapy needs and service improvements.
Maintain effective links with Local Authorities, NHS services, and partner agencies.
Apply and promote evidence-based practice through ongoing review of current research.
Support service evaluation and coordinate agreed outcome measures within the region.
Initiate and support research activity with agreement from the National Clinical Director.
Participate in line management and clinical supervision.
Work in accordance with professional standards and Keys Group policies.
Maintain accurate clinical records and complete required data collection.
Undertake reasonable travel and additional duties as agreed.
Maintain continuous professional development and attend relevant meetings and training
About you
- Essential: HCPC Registered
- Essential: RCSLT Registered
- Essential: Level 3 Safeguarding with a willingness to complete level 5
- Essential: Experience in Management of Dysphagia
- Essential: Full clean driving license and access to my own car.
- Desirable: Leadership and Management Qualifications
