Take a leading role in building an inclusive, high-quality learning environment from day one. Working closely with the Headteacher and a passionate team, you'll help shape the vision, drive excellence, and ensure every child with SEND has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

At Keys, we provide specialist therapeutic education and essential support for young people with complex needs, including emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.

We tailor learning for pupils who’ve struggled in mainstream schools or face risks like missing education, vulnerability, or exclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of the school leadership team
  • Lead by example with clear values and a strong commitment to excellent education
  • Support the Headteacher with school strategy and daily operations
  • Represent or deputise for the Headteacher when needed
  • Oversee pupil progress, curriculum, and standards
  • Manage staff and resources effectively
  • Help shape and deliver the School Development Plan
  •  Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

 Requirements

  • Experience in a similar SEN provision is essential
  • Proven track record in school improvement and leadership
  • Currently a Senior Leader ready for the next step
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted and independent school standards
  • Confident in leading safeguarding, curriculum, and staff development
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to raise teaching standards
  • Skilled in behaviour management across a whole school
  • Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Clear understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance
