Salary: Up to £45,000 P/A
Car Allowance: £3,600 P/A
Hours: Full time
Location: Halifax, National travel required occasionally
Join the Keys Group Clinical Team and make a real difference to the lives of children and young people. This new and unique role delivers hands-on and consultative occupational therapy across our schools and children’s residential services, working closely with care, education and operations teams. You’ll help embed high‑quality, therapeutic practice that supports learning, development and wellbeing every day.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist occupational therapy across the service/region.
- Lead assessments, formulations and evidence‑based therapy plans.
- Provide expert occupational therapy input to education, care planning, referrals and placements.
- Offer specialist guidance and consultation to carers, teachers, families and professionals.
- Promote independence and sensory‑inclusive environments across education and residential settings.
- Assess, advise on and support the use of aids, adaptations and specialist equipment.
- Manage risk effectively across all areas of occupational therapy practice.
- Deliver training and share occupational therapy knowledge.
- Contribute an occupational therapy perspective to clinical meetings.
- Advise managers on occupational therapy needs and support service improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Local Authorities, NHS services and partner agencies.
- Engage in regular supervision, professional development and research activity.
- Travel as required
About you
- Essential - Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Essential - Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Essential – Strong knowledge and practice of occupational therapy in working with people with complex needs and/or difficulties
- Essential - Understanding of how developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences affect life outcomes
- Essential - Specialist sensory knowledge and the application of this in a range of settings
- Essential – Self-starter with an ability to work using autonomy
- Essential - Clean driving licence and access to own car
