Teaching Assistant

Location: Scunthorpe, Southpark Enterprise College

Salary: £24,570 - £25,935

 

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference every day. You’ll work closely with experienced teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with complex needs, helping them grow in confidence, independence and emotional resilience.

The successful candidate will:

  • Support pupils’ learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Adapt support to meet individual needs under teacher guidance
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, professionalism and care

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  •  Experienced in supporting children or young people in an education or care setting
  • Patient, empathetic and adaptable, with strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and ongoing professional development
  • Experience working with SEND, complex needs or trauma-informed settings is desirable, but not essential.
  • A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous

At Southpark Enterprise College:
We are an independent specialist school supporting students aged 11–16 with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)

Many of our pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans and benefit from tailored support for needs such as ADHD or ASD. We offer a calm, structured and nurturing environment for young people who have found mainstream education challenging, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
