Job Role: Outreach / Floating Support Worker
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £10.90 - £11.70 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus £30 per night on-call, overtime available
Contract Type: Permanent 37-hour week
Given the nature of the role you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.

We are looking for a Support Worker who has great people skills and a desire to work with 16 – 21year old's who are preparing to live independently. Previous experience is not essential as you will be working as part of a team with a wealth of experience and knowledge and full training will be provided. We welcome anyone who has the right characteristics and life skills to work with our young people.
You will deliver high quality support to young people living in semi-independent supported accommodation in Derby. We provide an emergency 24/7 on call to our young people so you’ll work on a rota with your colleagues.
The Role:
· Working with young people to identify their support needs and address any wider issues.
· Empowering young people to gain and develop the skills needed to manage their own tenancy.
· Engaging with young people and supporting them to enjoy and gain new life experiences.
· Ensuring all young people have an up to date risk management / safety plan in place
· Making sure all information is recorded and updated accurately to meet contract and service requirements.
· Ensuring the accommodation is safe and clean
We are looking for Individuals who have:
· The ability to deal with unexpected challenges.
· Great communication skills.
· Good time management and able to work independently.
· Have a desire to want to learn new skills and develop.
· Someone with compassion for young people, who will enable young people to achieve their goals.
· Someone with a full UK driving license who can use their own vehicle for work purposes.
· Someone whom is willing to have a DBS check.
