Senior Support Worker - Trevelyan, SA33

ROLE: Mental Health Support Worker

LOCATION: Bronwydd, Carmarthen (SA33)

SALARY: £12.60 to £13.30* per hour

HOURS: 35 hours a week

SHIFT: 08:30-21:00PM & 21:00-08:30AM (occasional sleep in's required)

 

About Trevelyan:

Based in the village of Bronwydd, just outside Carmarthen. (45-minute drive from Swansea)

we provide support for six individuals with Mental Health needs, 4 males and 1 female in the main house and 1 male situated in the studio flat at the rear of the home. We assist them to develop individual coping techniques, which makes a noticeable difference to their everyday lives.

We understand the importance of providing person centred support which enables independence and meets individual’s specific needs. Individuals are supported to engage in their local community and to learn and practice new skills in a supported environment.

 

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including

  • Managing a team of Support Workers
  •  Providing high standards of care for the people we support, in line with care and support plans  
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
  • Liaise with health professionals and their families
  • Complete supervisions and audits
  •  To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
