Job Title: Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (negotiable)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: Home based with Ad Hoc National Travel
Job Purpose
Join Keys Group Adult Clinical Services, providing dedicated safeguarding and mental health support across our adult services. In this role, you’ll lead the development of safeguarding policies, offer expert guidance, and deliver engaging training, while helping to monitor and improve safeguarding practices across residential and supported living homes in England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist safeguarding advice, guidance and training (including Level 3) across Adult Services, supporting staff, families and professionals while promoting trauma-informed, person-centred care.
- Lead and contribute to safeguarding processes, including meetings, assessments, investigations, serious incident reviews, and complex case discussions.
- Support policy development and ensure practice aligns with NICE guidelines, safeguarding legislation, and Keys Group procedures, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Monitor safeguarding concerns through data analysis, reporting to senior leaders, and maintaining strong links with external agencies such as Local Authorities, NHS services and Police.
- Promote safe, effective care through risk assessment, service visits, and robust clinical record keeping, ensuring compliance with CQC/CIW standards.
- Contribute to service development, research, staff supervision and ongoing learning, while upholding professional standards, organisational values, and health and safety responsibilities.
About you
- Essential: NMC Registered Nurse - Adults
- Essential: Level 3 Safeguarding with a willingness to complete Level 5 Safeguarding Training
- Essential: Strong knowledge of safeguarding, key legislation (MCA, DoLS, MHA, PREVENT), risk management and trauma-informed practice
- Essential: Understanding of medication and common mental health conditions
- Essential: Experience in inpatient and community settings
- Essential: Skilled in training delivery, safeguarding advice, and leading meetings and investigations
- Essential: Effective multi-agency working with Police, Local Authorities and partners
