School Administrator

Package Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join New Ways College and provide administrative assistance to the Headteacher and leadership team. New Ways caters for 11-19 year olds who have special education needs relating mainly to Autism.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide an administrative function to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Encompass admin duties across the school and residential home
  • Work closely with the Headteacher offering dedicated support, diary management and document design
  • Join the leadership team of the education programme ensuring a smooth and efficient service is offered to all learners and stakeholders 
  • Act as the Exams Officer for the programme
  • Oversee attendance data and monitor daily attendance for all learners 
  • Communicate with central departments such as finance and HR
  • Attend and minute a range of senior meetings for the senior leadership team and Headteacher
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead to promote effective safeguarding 
  • Collate reports to monitor the overall progress and development of all learners
  • Co-ordinate the booking of enrichment activities for all learners 
  • Liaise with external stakeholders on attendance and progress
  • Develop a range of bespoke documents for the programme such as detailed progress spreadsheets and report templates on Microsoft Word

New Ways College:

New Ways College is located in North Worcestershire (B60) and serves KS4 and KS5 students aged 14–19 with special educational needs, primarily related to Autism. The college provides a safe, low-sensory environment and offers an ambitious curriculum that includes a suite of GCSEs and enrichment opportunities. Since September 2024, a new vocational curriculum has been introduced at the college site, featuring courses in Child Development, Hair & Beauty, and Hospitality, to support students in transitioning to further education, employment, training, and adulthood.
