Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
We are seeking an exceptional SENDCO to lead and shape outstanding provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This is a pivotal leadership role for a passionate professional who believes that every child deserves personalised, high-quality support to thrive.
As SENDCO, you will be the driving force behind inclusive practice across the school, ensuring statutory excellence while embedding trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches that place pupil wellbeing at the heart of learning. You will model the highest standards of professional integrity and actively champion our EPIC values – Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Caring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of pupils with SEND
- Develop, implement and review IEPs and EHCPs, ensuring full statutory compliance
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, Local Authorities and external agencies
- Train and support staff to deliver inclusive, high-impact teaching and interventions
- Promote emotional wellbeing, safeguarding and pupil voice within SEND provision
- Contribute strategically to SEND planning, resourcing and reporting
Requirements:
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with SENDCO accreditation (or willingness to undertake it)
- Experienced in coordinating SEND provision within a complex educational setting
- Knowledgeable about the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
- A confident leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passionate, resilient and deeply committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

About South Park Enterprise College
South Park Enterprise College is an independent SEMH specialist school for students aged 11-16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD.
We provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people who have struggled in mainstream schools or face exclusion.
