About Unity College

Unity College provides educational support for Looked After Children aged 11 to 19

We support up to 36 students, we offer a broad and ambitious curriculum designed to support students in achieving their full potential. 

We specialize in supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including autism spectrum conditions and social communication difficulties

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored English lessons to small groups and individuals.

• Prepare lesson materials, take registers, and write progress reports.

• Support students in building confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

• Manage classroom behaviour, mark assignments, and maintain communication with parents/carers.

Requirements

• Committed and passionate about supporting students with SEND
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision
• QTS/QTLS qualification is a plus
