POST: Positive Behaviour Support Development Lead
REPORTS TO: Associate Director - Positive Behaviour Support
DIRECTOR: Director of Quality & Regulation
OBJECTIVES: To contribute to the strategic development of Positive Behaviour Support at Keys Group.
LOCATION: Home based and travel throughout the UK as required.
Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Making Systems Work
- Lead on the development and delivery of a Keys Group PBS Progression Pathway, including the development and support of PBS Practice Leaders across Keys Group services.
- Lead on the development and efficient rollout of a suite of PBS related training.
- Work to achieve relevant external recognition/accreditation of PBS related training.
- Establish and facilitate an effective organisational PBS Coaches Network in order to facilitate peer to peer learning and support.
- Provide effective support, mentoring and guidance to PBS Practice Leaders/Coaches in order to ensure their practice aligns with legislation, best practice guidance and relevant organisational policies.
Promoting Quality of Life
- Ensure that the voice of the child, young person or adult remains central to all input with individuals and their teams.
- Work strategically to inspire and support teams to reduce restrictive practices through the development of proactive strategies and positive quality of life outcomes.
- Develop positive working relationships with external stakeholders in order to champion Keys Group PBS practice.
- Support PBS Coaches and teams to creatively capture outcomes in order to contribute to organisational learning and to influence sector practice.

- Ensure that governance processes are adhered to in all support provided.

- Work strategically to develop and implement systems that facilitate reflective practice and develop analytical skills within teams and PBS practice leaders.
Personal Specification
Job Title: Organisational Positive Behaviour Support Development Lead
Reports to: Associate Director - Positive Behaviour Support
Essential Criteria:
· Qualification in Education and Training
· Experience developing and facilitating training
· Positive Behaviour Support qualification, such as level 4 diploma - PBS
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, or a similar PBS coaching role
· To have previous proven experience of achieving improved quality of life outcomes and reductions in restrictive practices through the coaching of teams
· To have excellent communication skills and be able to adapt styles to suit audience and engage others
· To have strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform practice
· To have a high level of literacy and experience of report writing and action plans
· To be self-motivated and driven to expect the highest standards
· Driving License and access to a car
· Ability to travel throughout UK
· A willingness and ability to work flexibly including some overnight stays as required
Desirable Criteria:
· Qualification in Health and Social Care Management
· Degree level qualification in a health or social care field and/or significant relevant experience.
