Children's Support Worker
Package Description
Job Role: Support Worker / Children's Residential Home.
Location: Lytham St Annes
Salary: £12.60 - £13.30 per hour PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 4-8 sleep ins per month, an additional £3,000 -£6,000 P/A)
Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle are essential in this role.
We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our family home, caring for children who need a nurturing and kind approach. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop.
You will give your time and emotional support to make every day happy, play games, go swimming and being outdoors.
What do you need?
- We want people who are naturally caring, nurturing and kind.
- Great communication skills, positive, patient and energetic.
- Experience with younger children such as nursery, primary school or child care.
- Full UK Driving licence is essential.
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
As a children's support worker you will:
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for our children, led and supported by a registered manager.
- Act as a positive role model to to give encouragement and praise.
- Enjoy playing and spending time with the children.
- Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves
