Occupational Therapist
Salary: up to £44,000 – Pro rata
Location: Home based with travel required to schools within your region. 
Contract type: 
Fixed-term, 12-month maternity cover 
Hours: 2 or 3 days per week
Ideal postholder location: Manchester

Are you an Occupational Therapist looking for something new? Do you enjoy supporting young people in schools and the staff teams that work with them? We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist ready for a new challenge for a 12-month Maternity fixed term contract. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support young people in schools, work closely with staff teams, and make a real impact by promoting independence and improving lives.

You will be 

  • Providing occupational therapy services within the schools in your region. 
  • Working closely with the school communities in supporting high quality provision for our students. 
  • Providing training and implement interventions to support young people in their daily lives. 
  • Providing environmental advice to help students access their education.

About you

As a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist you will share our view that all children and young people deserve to be fully included and thrive within their educational settings. You will ideally have experience and knowledge of working creatively in a school environment. You will have knowledge of the occupational therapy process and have a range of understanding in various assessment and interventions including sensory processing and SEMH.   

This is a flexible and varied role that will appeal to Occupational Therapists with a keen interest in supporting children with a range of additional needs. The post holder will enjoy working autonomously with a range of professionals as part of a remote therapy team.

Due to the nature of the role, it is necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken (DBS).
