We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Mobile Maintenance Operative

This job role requires travel between multiple sites, a company van will be provided (the sites are Bishop Auckland, Middlesbrough, and Bedlington). The commute time has been incorporated into the working hours (40 hours per week with 5 hours driving paid).  

The successful candidate will:

• Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
• Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
• Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
• Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
• Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
• Managing bookings for any buildings or rooms available for hire
• Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
• Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
• As a Mobile Maintenance Operative, you will be kept busy and be required to prioritise your own workload. While you will not be asked to re-tile a whole bathroom, re-decorate a new acquisition, or replace the whole pluming system of a home; you will have to refit and fix fire doors, complete repair jobs on damaged walls, fix broken tiles, hang shelves, replace taps, fix minor plumbing issues, and more.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2-years’ experience in a trade field post (this is a requirement of the post)
• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• A valid full-driving license is a requirement of this position
