Key Responsibilities
- Join the Senior Leadership Team to lead and manage the school effectively
- Understand and drive the school’s improvement strategies
- Oversee teaching standards, curriculum, and pupil progress monitoring
- Manage staff teams and resources
- Deputise for the Associate and Executive Headteachers when needed
- Lead daily teaching and learning operations
- Support staff development in teaching skills and practice
- Contribute to staff appraisals and new staff inductions
- Deliver a small teaching timetable
- Identify and report safeguarding trends; ensure strong safeguarding across sites
- Provide safeguarding training
- Manage diverse behavioural needs to support staff
- Attend multi-agency meetings to support pupils
Requirements
- Proven track record in school improvement and leadership
- Currently a Senior Leader seeking a new challenge
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted framework and independent school standards
- Demonstrated leadership in safeguarding, curriculum planning, and staff management
- Exceptional practitioner skilled at raising teaching and learning standards
- Expert in behaviour management, able to enforce high standards school-wide
- Deep understanding of the SEND code of practice and support for SEND students
- Solid working knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education
