Year 11 & Post‑16 Progress and Pathways Coordinator

Play a pivotal role in supporting young people through their final year of education and into positive post‑16 destinations.

Keys Inclusion Pathway is seeking an experienced and committed Year 11 & Post‑16 Progress and Pathways Coordinator to oversee student progress, improve the quality of teaching and learning, and ensure effective transition pathways for learners.

This role is central to achieving strong academic, vocational and personal outcomes for young people, particularly those with SEND or who require alternative provision. Working closely with tutors, families, internal teams and external partners, you will ensure students are well supported, engaged and prepared for their next steps.

This is a hybrid role, combining home‑based working with travel to tuition sessions, meetings and office‑based activity as required.

The Role

As a Year 11 & Post‑16 Progress and Pathways Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee the progress and engagement of a caseload of Year 11 and Post‑16 students
  • Review referrals, assessments, EHCPs and supporting documentation to ensure provision meets individual needs
  • Monitor weekly logs, half‑termly reports and progress trackers, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Visit tuition sessions to evaluate quality of provision, celebrate successes and agree next steps with tutors
  • Support tutor development through feedback, guidance, exemplars and quality assurance activity
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students and families, gathering feedback and addressing concerns
  • Communicate student progress and quality assurance findings with managers and safeguarding/SEND colleagues
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching, learning, assessment and tutor induction processes
  • Support effective post‑16 transition planning, including guidance on education, training, employment and supported pathways
  • Provide professional input to reviews, meetings and transition planning documentation
  • Complete light‑touch post‑transition follow‑up to inform service improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and action plans

Please note: the role includes some travel and occasional invigilation.

Working Pattern & Salary

  • 40 hours per week
  • Term time plus 3 additional weeks
  • Hybrid working – home‑based with travel to tuition sessions, meetings and office activity as required
  • Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
  • All travel is reimbursed in line with company guidelines.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience of the UK curriculum, particularly Year 11 and/or Post‑16
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND or outside mainstream education
  • Experience overseeing or managing a caseload (students, tutors or families)
  • Strong understanding of teaching, learning and student progress
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities within education

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification or Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience supporting staff development or quality assurance
  • Experience contributing to transition planning and post‑16 pathways
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour management strategies
  • Knowledge of GDPR and information governance
