Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights) - Learning Disabilities
Salary: £13.10 Per Hour
Shift: 21.00 to 09.00am x 3 Shifts per week (with overtime available/ paid at enhanced rate) – must also have availability during the day when planned training is required – training will not follow or proceed a waking night shift.

More about the role
You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a registered manager.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will ensure the safety and security of the children overnight, and ensure the home is thoroughly cleaned and ready for the next morning. The role will include significant domestic duties that will be undertaken when the children are asleep. Waking Night staff will ensure all personal care matters are met for any child whom requires this support and will support the start of the day, getting children ready for school. You will be required to report and record all matters occurring overnight in line with company policy and procedure. You will be assigned a main base to work from, however the role will also include working across other local homes as required.
As part of the team and along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child. You will act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.

Experience and previous qualifications are not necessary but are welcome and will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.
