JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

HOURS: Full Time and Part Time

LOCATION: Redruth, Cornwall TR15

SALARY: £12.00 - 12.70 Depending on qualifications

Must Have Full UK Driving Licence

 

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Redruth, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs and Acquired Brain Injuries

About our Service:

We support a gentleman to live in his own self contained bungalow attached to his parents property. He has a good sense of humour and enjoys a laugh and joke with his team. He has mobility issues and we support him with his electric wheelchair. He has a great passion for all sports and enjoys going swimming once a week. He also enjoys going out to eat. A driver is required due to the rural location of the property.

 

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including

  • Prompting service users independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administrating medication
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
  • Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
