Location: Newport, Shropshire TF10
Salary: £12.00 - £12.70 per hour / £22,464 - £23,774 per annum
Shift Patterns: Full time – 36 Hours a week

Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle: Essential

Key Responsibilities

As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Skills Required

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Positive attitude and passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Understanding of delivering support with dignity and respect.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
