Lead, Inspire and Make a Difference Every Day

We're looking for a caring, dedicated and experienced Male Senior Support Worker to join a brand-new Supported Living service in the Stroud area, supporting an autistic gentleman to live a fulfilling, active, and independent life.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team from the very beginning, helping to shape the service, lead by example, and deliver high-quality, person-centred support tailored around one individual's needs, interests, and aspirations.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the gentleman we support to live the life he chooses whilst providing guidance and leadership to the wider support team. You'll help maintain high standards of care, support staff development, coordinate shifts, and ensure the service delivers outstanding person-centred support.

He enjoys an active lifestyle and spends a lot of time outdoors and within the local community. Whether it's going for walks, visiting new places, taking part in activities, or supporting daily routines, you'll be there to provide encouragement, practical support, and leadership.

We're looking for someone who is patient, understanding, reliable, and passionate about helping others. You'll enjoy building positive relationships, promoting independence, and helping to create a positive and empowering environment for both the individual you support and your colleagues.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A genuine interest in supporting an active and outdoor lifestyle
  • Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care (preferred) or willingness to work towards

Please note we require a Male Senior Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the person we support, making this position exempt from the Equality Act 2010 under Schedule 9, Part 1.
