Salary: £35k - £40k DOE
Car allowance: £3600 P/A
Hours: 37.5 hrs
Working pattern: Mon – Fri – Field and home based

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Housing Officer to join our Supported Living team in the Northwest, with responsibility for services across England and Wales. This field-based role involves managing a small team of Housing Officers, delivering high-quality supported housing services, and providing expert housing and welfare benefits advice to Supported Living clients, with a significant amount of travel across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small team of Housing Officers, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Provide expert, person-centred housing and welfare advice to Supported Living clients.
- Resolve tenancy, debt, and housing-related issues, staying up to date with laws and best practice.
- Conduct field-based work, manage caseloads, and maintain accurate records.
- Train teams and empower clients to sustain their tenancies.
- Build partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to policy development and apply sector knowledge to improve services.
About you:
- Essential: Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Essential: Degree in housing, social sciences, law, or equivalent, with significant housing experience, ideally in Supported Living and in a management or supervisory role.
- Essential: Strong knowledge of housing law, policy, and best practice in England and Wales.
- Essential: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Essential: Ability to manage complex caseloads independently.
- Desirable: Experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs.
- Desirable: Knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice.
- Desirable: Experience implementing Tenancy Satisfaction Measures.
- Desirable: Experience conducting SHIP inspections in specialist supported accommodation.
