Here at Peak we are on the hunt for a dynamic Senior Centre Manager at our vibrant outdoor centre in Trafford, Manchester. In this role, you'll champion safety, quality, and innovative customer experiences while delivering exceptional outdoor education and adventure. The role is mainly weekday work (with occasional weekends) and with its location, is ideal for trips into the Peak District, North Wales and the Lakes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First - Champion and enforce strict safety protocols for the centre, ensuring all activities meet or exceed safety standards.
- Quality Assurance & Customer Service - Oversee the delivery of a high-quality product at the centre, ensuring that every aspect of service meets company standards.
- Budget & Financial Oversight - Ensure the centre operates within its allocated budget while identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Staff Management – Provide direct line management to both centre managers and the onsite team.
- Training & Development – Oversee and actively contribute to the delivery of staff training and in-house activity sign-offs.
- Product & Business Growth - Drive initiatives that support continuous improvement and innovation in the centre’s delivery.
- Strategic Recruitment & Collaboration - Collaborate with HR to recruit the best talent, ensuring that new hires align with both centre and business-wide objectives.
- Cross-Business Support - Act as a strategic resource for the wider business, ensuring consistency in operational excellence and performance appraisal processes across all centres.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance - Ensure that the centre maintains all necessary accreditations and licences, aligning with both industry standards and company policies.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in outdoor centres, or the delivery of outdoor education, at a senior level (eg Senior Instructor, Deputy Manager/Manager)
- Practical experience – minimum 5 years in proficiently delivering outdoor activities.
- Qualifications and experience in a range of outdoor adventure sports.
- Outdoor First Aid Qualification (minimum 16 hours).
- Full UK driving license.
- Proven management experience.
- Passion & commitment.
- High level of customer service and professional presentation.

Qualifications:
- RCI or CWI or other relevant ropes-based qualification
- ML or HML Award or equivalent
- Mountain Bike Leader/instructor or equivalent
- Paddle UK Instructor / Coach or equivalent
- RYA instructor or equivalent
- DofE Assessor
- Archery GB Instructor award
- Bushcraft practitioner
- Valid First Aid Qualification
