SEN Teacher

Package Description

JOB ROLE: SEN Teacher

LOCATION: Scunthorpe

SALARY: £27,456  - £43,014* (This rate is effective as of 1st April - if you start prior to this date, your hourly rate will be £26,209 - £41,773 and will be automatically uplifted on 1st April)

We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a SEN Teacher 

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students.
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision 
  • QTS/QTLS is advantageous

At Southpark Enterprise College:

South Park Enterprise College is an Independent SEMH Specialist School, offering an alternative curriculum to young people with a range of SEMH special educational needs. The vast majority of our students have an EHCP and may have a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD. We also take a small number of students from the local authority inclusion service who have been or are at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream settings.

Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including communication and behavioural difficulties. All students are individual and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community and progress into sustained employment.
