Job: Registered Manager - Children and Young people 

*** 5K welcome bonus ****

Salary: Basic up to £45k plus up to 21% bonus OTE,  £5k welcome bonus and additional on call allowance.

Location: Hereford

Relevant experience and qualifications in Children and young people is essential for this position along with a full UK Drivers licence.

We are looking for a resilient Registered Manager, to manage our 4 bed EBD Children’s home rated Ofsted OUTSTANDING which is set in the beautiful market town of Hereford.  

We are looking for someone that understands the challenges and enjoys the rewards of supporting young people as individuals, helping them to grow and develop into confident young adults and find enjoyment in every day. You will use your creativity, positivity and passion to lead and develop a committed team and work together to provide a warm and caring family home.

More about the role

  • You will be accountable for delivering high quality care within the home, ensuring the care and progress children make is outstanding.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children’s homes Regulations
  • You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.
  • Responsible for building and mentoring your team in their roles and in their own professional development.
  • You will provide the highest quality of therapeutic care grounded in an understanding of trauma and attachment.
  • The protection, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our children and young people.

What do you need?

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a similar environment at a Senior level.
  • Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce.
  • Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Children’s home regulations.
  • Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic leader.
  • Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
  • Full driving licence is essential
