Occupational Therapist
Location: Liverpool L9 1NR
Salary: Up To £45,000
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours)
Purpose of Role
We are recruiting an enthusiastic HCPC Qualified Occupational Therapist to join Liverpool Progressive School. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality services for pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.
As part of the wider Clinical Team, you will benefit from strong support from our in-house Clinical Team and Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing direct assessment
- Intervention and consultation
- Playing a key role in the provision of high-quality services for pupils with complex special educational needs and disabilities
- Working with the support of other professionals within our Clinical Team in this varied and rewarding role
Requirements
- HCPC registered
- Interest in attachment and developmental trauma
- Post qualification experience of SEN education and familiarity with a variety of OT assessments tools and interventions appropriate to the needs of children and young people with complex needs
- Experience in sensory integration and sensory-based interventions
- Passionate champions of students with SEND
- Have a full-UK Driving License and access to a vehicle
