Salary: £35,000 PA
Car Allowance: £300 Per Month
Contract: 6 Month Fix Term
Location: Hybrid, with UK travel
Hours: 37.5 hours
The Role of IT Software Trainer
Join our IT Application Support Team and play a key role in empowering colleagues through effective IT training. As an IT Software Trainer, you’ll design and deliver engaging, high-impact training across company-wide systems, supporting both established applications and new software rollouts. You’ll train colleagues face to face and via webinars, provide hands-on user support, and create clear, accessible guides and videos that make a real difference.
This hybrid role includes UK travel, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays during major project rollouts, and attendance at our Halesowen (Birmingham) office as required.
Role responsibilities
- Conduct IT skills gap analyses as required
- Prepare training material and presentations
- Design user guides using simple language
- Conduct role-specific training on applications and tools that teams use on a regular basis
- Conduct project-specific training for new software roll outs
- Apply educational methods to engage trainees
- Train new employees, in small groups or individually, on proper use of Company applications and tools.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of each educational session and implement any lessons learned
- Maintain updated records of training curriculum and materials
What we’re looking for
- Experience using web-based learning platforms and modern training techniques
- Proven experience as an IT Software Trainer (or similar), delivering face-to-face and remote training, including Microsoft Teams and Town Halls
- Strong experience delivering induction and system training across standard and bespoke applications
- Ability to support and deliver training for new and updated system rollouts
- Experience delivering upskilling programmes to raise capability across the business
- Confident explaining complex issues clearly and professionally
- Strong organisational skills, including scheduling, course bookings, LMS updates, and training records
- Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
