Salary: £27,000 PA
Location: Halesowen
Working pattern: Hybrid – WFH 4 day p/w. 1 day p/w in Halesowen

JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will play a critical role within our fast-paced HR team, providing HR support across the Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To take all reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality, whilst being mindful of our safeguarding responsibilities as part of the HR team.
  • To monitor the Group’s ‘References’ inbox, providing timely references to external companies, and the internal Recruitment team.
  • To answer the telephone, providing basic HR advice or directing calls to the relevant HR Adviser
  • To monitor the HR Advice inbox in Support Pal, allocating tickets to HR Advisers.
  • To resolve simple transactional requests in Support Pal from Operational colleagues.
  • To work with the HR team to collate and provide management information on employee relations cases for the HRBPs and / or Head of HR Operations.
  • To be familiar with all HR policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that they are applied fairly and consistently in line with best practice, employment legislation and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • To manage basic employee relations cases to conclusion.
  • To ensure accurate records are maintained and updated in all HR platforms.
  • To work with the HR Advisers in submitting Occupational Health referrals and GP report requests, as necessary.
  • To liaise with the Accounts department to verify PAM Occupational Health invoices for processing.
  • To work with the HR Advisers to acknowledge SAR requests, notify the Data Protection Officer, and assist in preparation of the documentation in the DSAR folder.
  • To support with taking notes at hearings / meetings.
  • To process HRIS changes by issuing variation letters / contracts.
  • To email employees on Family Leave weekly with internal communications.
  • To manage the administration of Long Service Awards.
  • To manage the administration of the Quarterly Bonus scheme for Operations across the Group.
  • To collate exit interview and colleague check-in data.
  • To undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Person Specification

  •  CIPD qualification in Human Resources or working towards (desirable but not essential)
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to research, analyse and reason logically within tight and conflicting timeframes
  • Ability to write and present information clearly and accurately
  • Competent in Microsoft office applications
