HR Director

Job Title: HR Director
Location: Hybrid working. Home/Nettleham, Lincolnshire
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Department: Human Resources
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Purpose

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the HR Director will lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s people strategy within the Keys Health Division. They will oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, organisational design, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance. The HR Director will ensure the business attracts, retains, and develops the talent needed to deliver its goals, while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and deliver the organisation’s long-term HR strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on all people-related matters.
  • Drive organisational development and change management initiatives.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing across the organisation.

Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment and retention strategies to attract and keep top talent.
  • Oversee workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Implement robust performance management and appraisal systems.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Maintain a positive employee relations climate through effective communication and fair practices.
  • Ensure a consistent and legally compliant approach to handling employee relations issues.
  • Lead employee engagement strategies, acting on feedback from surveys and forums.

Reward & Recognition

  • Oversee the design and administration of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programmes.
  • Ensure reward systems align with performance, values, and market trends.
  • Develop employee recognition initiatives to promote motivation and morale.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage HR risk including safeguarding, grievances, whistleblowing, and investigations.
  • Lead on internal audits, accreditations, and HR-related governance activities.

Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop the HR team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders on managing teams effectively.
  • Promote leadership development and succession readiness.



Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role (ideally Director level or equivalent).- Essential
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organisational development.-
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing people strategies.
  • Experience leading change and transformation.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in managing HR in a multi-site or rapidly growing organisation.
  • Coaching qualification or leadership development expertise.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent
