Future Focused Progress Coordinator and Tutor

Keys Group is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Progress Coordinator and Tutor to join our education team. This role combines two days per week of direct mentoring delivery with three days of Programme Coordination, overseeing a caseload of students to ensure high-quality, consistent and impactful provision.
Working within the Future-Focused Programme, you will play a key role in maintaining programme fidelity, monitoring progression and ensuring strong quality assurance across all delivery. You will report to the Future-Focused Deputy Area Manager and work closely with the Referrals & Transitions Lead, mentors, schools and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Progress Coordinator:
Oversee the quality, consistency and impact of the Future-Focused Programme
Monitor student engagement, progress and progression timelines
Review referral documentation and initial assessments
Monitor daily session logs and termly reports for quality and alignment
Track student journeys and identify when transition planning should begin
Provide updates on progression trends, emerging risks and stagnation
Conduct visits to education or placement settings to quality assure delivery
Validate documentation against practice and identify areas for development
Provide constructive feedback, guidance and challenge to mentors
Support mentors with programme pacing, documentation standards and milestones
Ensure AQA units are tracked and evidence is submitted
Identify concerns relating to engagement, progress, documentation or safeguarding
Address concerns professionally and escalate where required
Maintain accurate, inspection-ready records of visits, actions and outcomes
Tutor:
Deliver personalised mentoring sessions aligned with programme aims and individual needs
Support young people with SEND and those disengaged from traditional education
Use trauma-informed and reflective approaches to promote engagement
Build resilience, confidence and positive behaviour
Support progression towards education, employment or training outcomes
Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
You’ll Bring:
Experience working with vulnerable young people, including those with SEND
Experience reviewing documentation and providing professional feedback
Strong safeguarding awareness and understanding of responsibilities
Experience working with schools, local authorities or multi-agency teams
Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with young people
Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills
Ability to identify concerns, challenge appropriately and escalate effectively
A positive, flexible and proactive attitude
Desirable:
Experience within alternative provision or intervention programmes
Experience overseeing or supporting staff practice
Experience with AQA or similar accreditation frameworks
Working Pattern:
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00
3 days Programme Coordination / 2 days mentoring (subject to service need)
Requirements:
Ability to travel across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex as required
Access to own vehicle with appropriate insurance
