Job Title: Female Support Worker

Home Location's: Crewe, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
Salary: £12.60 - £13.30 per hour / / £23,587.20 - £24,897.60
Hours:  36 hours per week (overtime available)
Flexible Shifts: 8:00am – 10:00pm with sleep-in shifts

A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role. Please ensure this is clearly indicated on your CV.

Note: This position requires a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we support. This makes the role exempt from gender discrimination under the Equality Act 2010.

Cheshire Supported Living is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support for individuals with Mental Health needs, Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Acquired Brain Injuries. Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service operates across Cheshire and Manchester, helping people live fulfilling, independent lives in a safe and nurturing environment.

As a Female Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day lives of the people we support. You will provide assistance with personal care, encourage independence, and promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Support & Routine: Assist with the day-to-day care, ensuring the individuals you support follow a regular and fulfilling routine.
  • Encouraging Independence: Help individuals achieve greater independence while supporting them in living their best life.
  • Personal Skill Development: Support hobbies and interests to promote the growth of personal skills.
  • Health Care Needs: Assist with health care needs, such as attending routine appointments, administering medication, and providing general healthcare support.
  • Epilepsy Experience: If you have experience in supporting people with epilepsy, this would be highly beneficial.
  • Life Skills Teaching: Help with developing life skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and paying bills.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Support with personal care as needed, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Domestic Tasks: Assist with household chores, such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Emotional & Physical Support: Provide compassionate guidance and encouragement, offering both physical and emotional support to individuals in your care.
