Female Support Worker - Bromsgrove, B61

JOB ROLE: Female Support Worker

HOURS: 42 hours per week

LOCATION: Bromsgrove, B61

SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30 per hour – dependent on qualifications and experience

Full UK Driving License with access to a vehicle: Desirable

Please note we require a female support worker due to a genuine occupational requirement for the person we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Us

Malvern View, a residential service in Worcestershire specialising in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism, Malvern View accommodates up to 10 adults. 

Role Overview

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day support and routines of the individuals we serve.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the care sector is not required; we provide comprehensive training.
  • A strong enthusiasm and commitment to our company values is essential.
