Educational Assistant – Activity and Intervention 

Location: Hybrid – with travel across our centres
Contract: Full-time

Salary: £25,000 per annum

About Us

We are a specialist crisis intervention service provider, supporting vulnerable young people who have been affected by county lines (CCE), child sexual exploitation (CSE), or who have struggled to access mainstream education. We act quickly and effectively to turn a crisis situation into a positive experience by working closely with each young person.

Our tailored programmes are designed to help children and young people overcome trauma through a variety of structured outdoor physical activities. Alongside this, we provide access to alternative educational provision where learners can achieve nationally recognised qualifications and rebuild their confidence in education.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Educational Assistant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to support young people in crisis, helping them re-engage with education and build brighter, safer futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Education (Activity & Intervention) with the development and delivery of educational content and qualifications.
  • Work collaboratively with centre managers and deputies to continually improve the quality of education across all centres.
  • Liaise with local authorities and key stakeholders to ensure effective partnership working.
  • Carry out assessments of learners’ work, including written & practical tasks.
  • Deliver tutoring sessions to support learners in building confidence, skills, and knowledge to achieve their potential.

About You:

  • A PGCE is desirable.
  • A high level of digital competency.
  • Knowledge and experience of both mainstream and alternative education.
  • Experience in outdoor or physical education is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with children in care, vulnerable young people, or in crisis situations.
  • A qualification in assessment (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to safeguarding and supporting young people.
