More about the role

Working 9:00am till 5:00pm Monday to Friday, you will be accountable for delivering a high-quality care to the Young People in conjunction with the Service Manager. You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and often life changing experiences and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a Registered Manager.

Activity and Intervention services offer a twelve week programme for young people who require alternative accommodation to break the cycle of circumstances they find themselves in. During that stay, young people take part in number of adventurous activities which aim to restore their self-confidence, build trust and establish positive relationships with highly trained and experienced adults.

Working 4-5 shifts (including overnights) Activity services offer short term 2-1 activity placement using Outward bound activities to engage the young people in our care. There is a heavy focus on taking part in outdoor/physical activities, including mountain biking, adventurous jumping, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hill walking, rock climbing and bouldering.

Activity teams provide support in a range of different places across the location area and North Wales national parks.

As part of the team and along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child. You will act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.

You’ll support children and young people aged 8-18 who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties in a residential children’s home environment. You’ll support the young people to learn the skills they need to lead happy and successful lives and to overcome their challenges.

What do you need?

We are looking for someone with a minimum of an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare who has at least 1 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting at a Senior level. Unfortunately, we cannot accept Health and Social Care qualifications.

We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.

Contact us today, we would be delighted to hear how you can join us in helping care for children to lead happy, healthy and successful lives.
