Location: Hayling Island

Salary: £33,664  plus an additional £62.64 per sleep in

Hours: full time working long day shifts and occasional sleep in

Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle are essential in this role.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our NEW children's home in Hayling Island, caring for children and young people who have learning disabilities, complex needs and Autism.

As a Deputy Manager, you will be an integral part of our welcoming and knowledgeable leadership team, being part of a region of 14 children’s homes, with the backing of a growing, national organisation, where you will be actively encouraged to be creative and bring your own unique skills and have the opportunity to influence change.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a Residential Children's home or adults supported living, learning disabilities and Autism.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young people or health and social care level 5
  • Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic.
  • A strong people manager with a hands on approach.
  • Experience of budgets and rotas.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
