Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £14.05 – £14.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week) 

Residential shifts are structured as follows:

  • 10:00am to 11:00pm
  • Sleep-in at the home
  • 7:00am to 10:30am morning shift and handover

Driving Licence: Required

About The Role
 Keys Group is looking for caring and motivated individuals to join our residential care team in Rotherham. As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will support young people with emotional and behavioural needs to live happy, safe, and fulfilling lives.

About The Home

We are a four-bed children's home located in a peaceful rural setting, offering a unique balance of a calm environment and access to local schools, health services, and community resources. The home provides personalised, trauma-informed care for young people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, typically from primary school age through to 17 years old.

Our approach is centred around building meaningful relationships and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow, develop confidence, and achieve positive outcomes. We generally operate on a one-to-one staffing ratio, enabling us to provide consistent and individualised support tailored to each young person's needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and supportive home environment
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Support daily routines including meals, activities, and education
  • Encourage hobbies, interests, and social activities
  • Act as a positive role model
  • Support young people through challenging situations

Requirements

  • Caring, resilient, and positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins
  • Full UK driving licence
