Business Development Director – Keys Group Health Division
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 DOE
Bonus: up to 15% based on Revenue KPI’s
Location: Flexible
Travel: As required. Average travel to Lincoln H/O bi-weekly
The Business Development Director will play a key role in growing Keys Group’s Health Division, helping more people access high-quality neurodevelopmental and speech therapy services.
You will lead new business growth, build strong partnerships across the NHS, ICBs, local authorities, education and private markets, and develop a clear, compelling service offer that meets the needs of both commissioners and families.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll help shape the future of the division, driving sustainable growth and making a real difference to the people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new business growth, delivering revenue targets and building a strong, well-qualified pipeline
- Spot and develop new opportunities, partnerships, and service models across health, education, and private sectors
- Oversee high-quality bids and tenders, working closely with internal teams to create strong, deliverable solutions
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the NHS, ICBs, local authorities, education, and corporate partners
- Help shape a clear, joined-up service offering with strong pathways and a compelling value for customers
- Drive growth in the private market, developing accessible and commercially viable services
- Work with marketing to strengthen positioning, messaging, and brand presence
- Lead and support the business development team, creating a collaborative, high-performing culture
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and securing high-value contracts in health, education, social care or related sectors
- Strong understanding of NHS, ICB, local authority and education commissioning
- Experience leading complex bids, tenders and negotiations
- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Strong commercial awareness, including pipeline management and forecasting
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Strategic thinker who can turn plans into action
Desirable:
- Experience in neurodevelopmental, mental health or therapy services
- Knowledge of digital or hybrid healthcare delivery
- Experience across public sector and private/self-funded markets, with established relationships
Success Measures:
- Delivery of new business revenue targets (£)
- Strength and value of pipeline and conversion rates
- Growth in private market revenue and diversification of income streams
- Number and quality of contracts, frameworks and partnerships secured
- Contribution to divisional growth and commercial performance
- Development and performance of the business development team
